if you're shooting on DV tape, you'll generally want to go with the greenscreen because of the color sampling that happens in the camera and the compression of DV....
see, DV tape is in YUV color space 4:1:1 compression... now what that means is that the Y channel is sampled 4 times for every 1 time of the U and V... which means you have 4 times more resolution of the Y channel than the U or V.... in YUV color space, Y is green (luminance) and the U and V are chrominance for red and blue... it's like old school tv signal, where they broadcast the signal in black and white (luminance, or Y) and then a simple U and V to shift hue/saturation to the correct color. because DV works this way, and has a much larger resolution of the green channel, it lends itself to generating a better key off the footage. there's plenty of tech papers on this all over the place, in fact, adobe has a great digital video pdf explaining all this and more in like premiere's help file -- it's quite interesting if you're into that kinda tech stuff....
but yeah, short answer: shoot dv greenscreen; film doesnt matter as much.
hope that helped

Wuuaooo!
that was a very good explanation
thanks a lot!

I agree with Dark Alien, but I think that it is also important as to what you are filming. That can play a big role, I find that Blue screen shot on Dv is still keyable maybe even easier but I find that removal of the spill is alot harder, in comparison to if it was shot on green.
