    in the text message I want to get the text displayed by the text node as the user who is logged in ...

    like ..

    comp-01-John-Final_version

    what is the command where it identifies the system user?

    May be [file tail [set env(HOME)]]?

    I don't know tcl, but surely "[get env(USER)]" would do it?

    Not sure how you'd do it if you're talking about Windows, though....
