Hi Guys,

To create this comp it was necessary to make a 3D tracker in Boujou. I modeled some hot air balloons using displacement mapping; created some 2D balloons in Photoshop and applied them in cards; and combined all the elements in MAYA. Then color corrected, lens flares and final comp was done in NUKE.

I have a couple of comments on your composition...

You did a good job with the modeling and texturing but all the balloons are way way way too static, inject some movement. One thing that you could also look into is the color correction, all the 3d objects are too saturated when compared to the background plate.

Overall a good composition, spend some time tweaking it and you got it!

That, and they are surprisingly front-lit and exposed differently than you would expect from the high value in the sky.
