VFX challenges

Hey all,

i would LOVE to get the challenges back up and running again but to be honest the last time around was a major mission for me to manage...

for the series 4 i would like to pull together a team that can help to manage the process properly from within the community... from scripts to voting to prizes...

i beleive we would like to do a 12 part series, one a month... like we did before. to make the challenges worthy of peoples time, however, the first thing we need help with is finding sponsors...

a lot of you guys work a large facilities... maybe we can get some of the top facilities to sponsor cool prizes for the monthly winners?

i can also ping the sponsors of the last series of challenges and see if i can find someone to help it along its way.

the challenges were always one the coolest things here to me, as a way to see the mad skills that are out there, it would be awesome to jump start them again

let me know what you think and if anyone is interested i will create a group to help drive this ahead...

I personally nominate avilabon to acquire some form of leadership in these. He did a wonderful job rounding up the Green Soda VFX challenges, and as I didnt have time to participate, there was strong evidence of his dedication to the community.

Yeah, I second that. Alex (Avilabon) managed to pull out some cool challenges when the site was down in that realm.

I would suggest 6 challenges with 2 months for the process and the voting.
