    Hy all
Whell .... my opinion is more complex that your poll ... so I had to post
I would be good for talking about editing in general, about movies made, from the point of the view of the editor artist (not editor technician).
But a forum for editing ... to talk about how to use Premiere, for example ... no way ... if the case ... i teach anybody using that ... whatever ... i can't call it program, 'cause i hate it ..
    regards.

hehe - someone after my own heart....

But I've given up on being scathing about Premiere - some people get very attached to it....

I'm in the middle of reading 'In the blink of an eye' at the moment - a very good book (by Walter Murch) for anyone who is more interested in the artistic side of editing.

What Paul (and I) is (am) thinking about is a site specifically for editing - how this one is specifically compositing (something that is covered in various CG forums, but has few places of it's own)

I'd love to have a site that's dedicated to editing stuff...just like SalaTar said: what is a comp without editing?

Editing might not be the most glorious position in the foodchain, but it's still mighty important.

You can have a good story, a marvelous script and great actors, a brilliant camera operator and the best of all possible VFX crews on this planet, but if the editing's crap, the whole project goes crashlanding, so...some one has to do it!

It was more whether there was a call for something like that....

Also, when we started VFXTalk, I was actually trying to get into editing, something that has since changed.... so I think there's distinctly less chance of this happening now....

Anyway, I think this thread's been sticky long enough....
