So I've started a little bit late and I had little done. Anyway I'm sharing it with you. After plan the scene and how the shots should be I worked in creating a good and realistic snow shader in Maya(+Mental Ray) and this is the result.

I've created some ice mountains with SSS, but I didn't uploaded any example.

Later I tracked the guy to have the correct lens to do the board removal to add a CG one. This is a first approach to it.

I don't know if I'm going to reach to the dead line of March 5th. But I'll try!

More work done. First I'm showing the final look&feel of the digital board with final illumination and rendering, still needs to rendered with 3D motion blur, but it's almost done. Talk about animation it's still a little bit hard yet, I have to fine tune it; here is shown the hard animation of the board with the tracking points plus some tunning in Combustion.

I've started with weather conditions as well. This is a first approach (and probably the last ) to the snow storm created with good old particles.

I don't think I'm going to be able to reach the March 5th dead line because of I've started late and I don't have much time. Anyway I'll try it!

Hey Alex, great work so far.. One comment though, the snow animation on your second link looks like it needs to be premultiplied, it feels like they have a dark border.

That's too bad that you dont think you'll make the deadline, your entry could be an interesting one.

Thanks buddy. You're right in the premultiply thing, that's because I've rendered the snow in a single layer without the background test of the shot and I didn't realize in that.

Thanks for the support, anyway it was something I was asuming since the day I started (past Monday and not been able to advance from Tuesday to Thursday because of work affairs) so it's more me been stubborn.

Off topic. I can't see my updates in the thread, and I don't know why, and I think that I've duplicated the post before this one. Anyone can suggest me how to work it out?
