    Hi,

I'm having a problem. I have 1.5 days left to deliver the shots. From the 10 shots I had to track there is 1 shot I can't get solved. I hope you guys can help me out with this!

I have to put a word left from the "50" and right from it. I've tried to tracking it as a Tripod shot. And tried to do it as a normal shot. I have tracked as much detail on the boards and tracked the trees in the background as far trackers.

Strange enough the far trackers appear in front of the normal trackers. Like it is inverted. I will place a thumbnail here and post the shot here.

    Thanks!
    Maarten

Just saw the thread after you said this. What was the problem with this shot and how did you fix it, just curious!

Holy hell man. Thats interlaced all to hell. Why would you be having to track something like that?! Surely those are effects put on in post right?

Well strange enough when you import it in AE and you deinterlace it it looks good enough to work with. Yes those effects are put in. I have no idea why I get the post shot.

I'm using syntheyes for the tracking. I tracked the bord and the trees. Then it all looked screwed after the solve. I removed the far trackers (the trees) and "Refined" the solve. And then it came out in the right direction. Now I'm fine tuning it. If I did not tracked the trees first, then the solver would have had not enough trackers.

I took a guess that it was a 35mm lens. If it's different, you can probably solve it fairly well with a different lens.

Edit shot in Syntheyes with interlacing with "Starting Even"

The trick that ended up getting past the 'inversion' you were talking about was specifying frame 0 and 153 as Begin and End frames when there were enough points. I believe it to be a parallax problem more than anything.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I also noticed that the camera moves to the left, so I added at to the settings in the solve panel.

I've included an example and the Syntheyes and maya file for perusal. Hope it helps others
