Im using nuke 6.7 and when trying to read .r3d files at 4k resolution nuke errors :error decoding file. Also 8 times out of 10 nuke will simply crash. I have found nothing online and im told nuke shoudl support these files natively. I have no problem importing these files into after effects cs5.

    Any ideas?

I can read 4K r3d files into Nuke 6.0v7 without any problem.

Send the files into The Foundry Support team for them to look at.

Sometimes you're just looking at the wrong side of the table

FullHigh res crashes occasionally. But using HalfHigh decoder resolution, it is much more stable.
I haven't read from the release notes that this problem has been fixed.

Once I asked Foundry guys about it at they told me that it sounded like "Bug 10455".

I have the same problem using the Tracker when I import R3D files into Nuke. After tracking for 2 sec Nuke suddenly can't find the R3D files anymore which is the equivalent of a crash I guess. I tried adjusting the decoder resolution but no change.

Usually I restart the Nuke, when that happens. But in HalfFull res, it is quite stable, at least for me.
