    just to confirm:

Are you are asking for a single shot 15 seconds in length or longer?

    or

Are you are asking for a a series of multiple shots with a combined length of 15 seconds or longer?

    Creativity is key!

Also, assuming, a sequence does every shot need to be a VFX shot or can one or two be without VFX?

    Creativity is key!

your piece should be 15 secs - 30 secs in length but the brief is open for you to create your work as you would like to.

Hi, I was watching this site for a couple of weeks now, and I thought that entering the challenge would be the right moment to register, because Im new to vfx and it will be a good experience.

I have couple of questions, I didnt find answers and I tried really hard believe me :P

Can we use free footage from the internet? For example tennis player or football player.
Can we use footage from older challenges?
I watched some entries from older challenges and some people used movie soundtracks, so I guess its ok or is there a catch?

Thanks for answers and sorry If someone asked that before

Hi Lerak - great to have you entering the new challenge.

you will not be able to use footage from older challenges as they are only supplied for each individual challenge.
You will need to use the supplied footage for the main part of your crowd duplication.
how you create other elements of your entry is up to you!

    Good luck with the challenge!

can we use the rotoscoped footage from a movie like 300,gladitor or from any other sporting event, or we have to create our own things.

Is it appropriate to use stock sound effects & music?
(With the proper license/permission from the owner of course)

Dumb question maybe but can I use some of my own plate footage then populate the provided crowd in it?

    thanks,
    Josh
