Hi,
Here's a shot I've realized with SideFX Houdini that I'll put in my next VFX Reel.
The firebombs are on the style of 2012 movie, one of my favourite movie.
Hope you'll like it,

Looks great. On a personal note id like to see a bit more impact debris and possibly a wave of dust and smoke spreading from the impact zones and the one other thing is id like to see the fire bombs be a bit more random, they look too similar.
Keep it up.
The timing on the fire bombs and smoke looks great. I have similar criticism, I think it needs more fine dust coming out of the ground. You have soft ground breaking up like hard clay, I think the big chunks are fine, but more dust would make them look less apparent and I think it would set the firebomb craters into the scene better.
Nice sim....speed needs work...judging from the size of objects in your scene...the falling fire balls seem to be dropping really slow. They seem to be falling down with gravity when in fact their downward speed should be greater than the velocity they would reach by the force of gravity. In other words...for them to lift those large chunks from the ground...the fireballs need to have high downward velocity to create that impact. - Unless they are truly just a gaseous fireball with not much mass to it...in which case it would not break apart any part of the ground.
looks great dude...i think the timing can be random...the three looks similar
Thank you very much guys!
I've appreciated your suggestions and maybe I'll adjust some stuff before put it in the final reel!
Can you add some shadows on the ground that would match the smoke and debris?
I think that the smoke rises a bit too slow, and as someone said before; the fireballs can also come down a bit faster than they do now i think. Just my opinion !
