I would check vimeos content rules for that. Best thing would be to shoot something yourself....I will try to get some stock for those that can't shoot their own.

If getting your own footage isn't going to work for this contest and it needs to be more structured please let me know and we will work to make it so...there are still a few days before the contest start date and I want as many of our communities artists to participate...be it jr or sr. There are no restrictions here...just do the coolest thing you can do and post the results here and we will decide who takes home the prize!

As for worries or concerns neither VFXTalk.com nor Imagineer are doing this to gather work...this is simply a way of thanking the community and getting more people to know about Mocha for work other than just adding in billboards! It really is a powerful solution for vfx.

This won't be included in the contest but let me get the ball rolling with a music video I worked on last year that I did 100% of the vfx (not the cg tho) in Mocha and Nuke.

**sorry video won't let me link**

No, you have to use mocha for all tracking/roto/rig removal.....basically you can use any other software but you have to demonstrate strong use of Mocha in a creative way.

Could be nice for other users to know what other software you used and to what extent Mocha was used.

Can it be something that has already been done before the start of the contest? As just a bit over a month ago I finished this small match moving project?

    Hi folks,
Ross Shain from Imagineer. A few answers to the questions:

Yes, you can post older work for entry. Basically any shot that was assisted by any our products (mocha, mocha Pro, mocha for After Effects, monet, mokey, etc).

The footage can be anything - but please do not use footage that you simply don't have the rights to. Basically adhere to Vimeo's upload policy: http://vimeo.com/upload/video

    Best!
