Cooling the single units is not such a big issue (especially with later intels), but cooling the whole assembly is. You might wanna look at some beefy aircon![]()

just build a workstation based on 2 xeon X5670 @ 2.93ghz (6 cores each), SSD SATA3, 24go of ram and the whole thing running on an EVGA SR-2 and quadro4000 , for the full rig the price was under 5000$, of course it's because i bought everything separetly, if i wanted to buy that with mac, should costed me more than 8500$, and the only choices are to get ATI for the GC, which is not good if you want to run a software like MARI for example...
So seriously dude, 10 000$ for a workstation is insane, the best solution is to build your computer yourself as I did, or try something like BOXX technologies but the price is gonna high either...

We use several HP z800 Workstations, and they never let us down since we have them.
They are very well built and you can customize them when ordering.
And the service seems to be pretty responsive, we used it once on another Model and they changed the motherboard the next day after we called...
