Valley wetland WIP

hey guys.

I found this image on matte painting.org and thought i would have a go myself

What i would like to do is try and recreate the wetland look myself paying attention to reflections in the water.
The image below is my work so far and I would love to get some feedback on this. Im using this exercise to practise more of the fundamental disciplines of matte painting. I dont want to create a huge sci fi scene I just want something that would look photo real. at this point i realise apart from the glaring disparity in colour in the water between planes the embankments are really sharp. these are easy fixes

The only issue I see is the hard edges on the water in the foreground, where the water meets the land. but I think you already noticed that

nice, it would be great if you could add more subtle mountains ranges in the BG. Looking forward to the next version...
