I have just started learning color theory for art...Is it the same for digital video ?

I see that art uses RYB color model and displays RGB..

According to RYB color model complementary color of Red would be green..But according to RGB it is Cyan..How does the theory work here..
Or do we just follow RYB everywhere for visual harmony...
    My business is to create

Colour you put on white paper is subtractive, like colour printing. While the RGB colour tristimulus in video are additive.
The first takes continous light spectrum sunlight and filters certain colours(wavelengths) out. The other creates light of certain wavelengths (R,G,B) that when mixed together create in the visual perceptual system of humans the effect of certain colours.
