  1. #1 help guys please i want my 1600x900 video to be 1280x720 or 1920x1080 but it won't
please help me guys i'm toooooooooo desperate ryt now i've been searching many sites watching many videos but none helped i can't find any help this is my last hope.

the problem is i record my screen with camtasia 7 by using XVID compressor at 30fps, i need to record full screen & my screen resolution is 1600x900 so the recorded video comes out as 1600x900 AVI file, but i need to upload this to youtube as hd i tried many ways to resize the video to 1280x720 & even 1920x1080 but both come out looking blurry, if i upload 1600x900 to youtube it gives me a crap in return by converting it to 1280x720, i tried to resize my video using after effects, encoder, premiere pro but nothing seem to work all those give me a blurry video, so please help me guys i need my video to stay crystal clear & i need it to go hd on youtube without any loss in quality it maybe 720p or 1080p does'nt matter.

please tell me what compressor do i need to use in camtasia to record & what compressor to use to output the video, this issue is damn serious guys please help as soon as possible.

Of course you can record in avi, but avi it's just a container, codec is XVID and it's a copressed codec. You need to record in lossless format for the best results. I have found that the lagarith lossless codec have a great quality and not so big files. You will find it here:
    http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html
When you install this, restart camtasia, and in the General tab of the screen recorder, set record to, to .avi. Then, in the Inputs tab, click on Video Settings and set the compressor to Lagarith. When you're done with your recording, just save it.

    In AE make a new comp 1280x720 30fps, import your footage>add to timeline>right click>transform>fit to comp(Ctrl+Alt+F).
Now, go to your comp settings Ctrl+K and change its duration, so it match to your footage.
Then go to composition>add to render queue, click on the output module, then format and pick H.264 or QT-mpeg4, ok and hit render, your done.

    Tip:
if you will pick H.264 from the format rollout, click on the format options and set the profile to High and level to 3.1. Down below, change bitrate encoding to CBR(that's very important, it means that the footage will be encoded with the constant bitrate of data, that way, YT will not degrate it so much).
Set the bitrate to smth between 5 and 12Mbps. The higher bitrate- the higher quality and size of your file. Probably, you'll need to render your footage couple of times to set the best settings and keep the file relativly small.
    Good luck!
