hi,

can any one explain, how the merge blending nodes work , what blending mode use when(base on footage), i got to know few blending modes how to use them , can any one help me in this , or any material regarding the merge blending nodes

The mathematical explenation for what each blending mode does can be found just hovering the blending-list.
What mode you should use depends on what you want to do.
Adding light to a scene (from a lightpass or something) is best used with the Plus, but hard to say what you should use without a real example.

Search for 'Merge Operations'.. it starts on page 187 in the Nuke 6.3v2 User Guide.

Maths, explanations, pretty pictures, and use cases for certain operations.
