Shotgun Software alternatives? –
Ive used Shotgun at bigger facilites and it is obviously an amazing piece of production software. Im now running my own show and need something similar (but on a smaller scale) to keep track of the status of shots, who is assigned what tasks, running total of costs and have calendar / timesheet inputs. Shotgun is way out of my budget and I've really not found any cheaper alternative solutions. I tried something called VFXshowrunner which is only $99, but runs on Filemaker Pro (who the hell uses that any more?). I have artists dotted about at different locations so need a purely browser based interface. Im currently kind of using a combo of Google Docs (spreadsheet and calendar) but its far from ideal as I want to link all the data together.
So has anyone used Shotgun alternatives at a facility?
