Finally practicing. Please comment/critique

Hi all,

a couple of weeks ago I asked where to start learning visual effects. After reading through a couple of books and whatching online training, it turned out that what I really enjoy doing isn't creating visual effects.... it's digital compositing.

You can read a longer version of how I prepared to get started with compositing in my new blog, maybe it will help some of you who are also new and don't know how and where to start.

I also uploaded renders of the first key I pulled. I would really appreciate it if you leave some comments/critique.

For the future, what's the best way to get critique on my work as I keep practicing? I don't know if it's appropriate to create a thread everytime I upload new work on to my blog?

compositing is a major part in creating visual effects

do some shots and post them in the work in progress area, there you will get honest critique on your work. If you improved the same shot - post it again in the same threat as an update and you will get critique again.

by the way - the alpha of your womanshot looks too noisy in areas where it should be completely black - I don't mean her clothes, though it's noisy as well
