I got one small question, however a very important one. I've consulted several vfx gurus but I wanna know the society opinion.
I'm going to release a reel soon. The purpose of the reel is to find clients who need some amount of vfx done in a movie or a commercial or a music video. Since I can't work abroad for some private reasons (I'm from Russia) I don't want to find a full-time job in the industry, just to find clients. So here is the question: what is better - to release a vfx artist reel or to find a couple of guys who will help me and present the reel as a studio reel? Remember, the purpose is a stable flow of clientele, not a position in a vfx company, however I'm not making a bold push for blockbusters like Transformers. I'm pretty sure that directors or producers or vfx houses that want to outsource some work would better work with a studio than with an individual, but I want to know your opinion.
