    Hey Boris.
    Yep, it's completely cg.
Kramer? Maybe a bit, I used his stock footage collection.
    Thank you Boris.

Put some wires from the car it will be even more impressive. Don't need to be shy about andrews stock footage I have seen it in some blockbusters.

Yeah, the model wires will work well, thank you Boris.
I have never been shy of using stock footage since I'm a compositor, not an FX'er. My work is to composite, not to create original explosions, dust, fire etc. An FX designer will do it for me.
BTW what blockbusters do you mean?

well maybe not blockbusters but movies, one which I can remember right now was Machette and Crank1 or Crank2 not sure and a lot other good movies and B terrible scifi movies on Scifi Channel etc.
One of the funniest Artbeats explosions was in the movie predators from 2010 in the last sequence where the predator ship explodes some genius composer thinked nobody will notice that he placed 2 same artbeats explosion (just one a bit under another so it looks like its 2 explosions) pretty lazzy work.

Thats the only movies I can remember right now but I have seen a lot of tv shows that everyone.
You can recognize it sometimes but well its not so important as only a handfull of people recognizes stuff like that anyway. Most people who watch don't care. And it gets the job done.

    Very interesting.
I remember lots of kind of Discovery and National Geographic style films, where the Artbeats stuff (not only explosions) was used all over the place. But you are right, only the cg guys will notice the overused footage.
