I think, that the reel should be more dynamic when beat comes in, but the work you did...great! Very inspiring. Awesome job!

It either doesn't play or takes a REALLY long time to start (and I'm on a 24Mb/s connection)

Either way, you are not going to get too many eyes on it. Try Vimeo if your server is too slow or you don't have a compressed reel.
