    Hi there,

    This is a shot which i composed with some live action shot, stock elements done some motion tracking & cc, so if u guys are having any suggestions or comments on this please let me know. any suggestion to make it add some more details in the shot.

    Another shot is a small matchmove test done in boujou & cg animation from maya.

    1)The explosion light doesn't interact with the scene, it should illuminate the earth at least. Also the scale seems to be a bit off.
    Add kind of hole or a crack to the ground, explosions usually leave something like that.

    2)There should be a reflection and a shadow of the first guy on the surface.

    Big mistake beginers usually do is don't care about the shadow at all :P for example there is a building around it and somehow the shadow is straight coming from back, instead you should have just created a very soft light with just a bit shadow like it usually is on a cloudy day. Put only GI light.

    Don't get unmotivated but you can clearly see that there is a building behind the characters so the light cannot cast "direct shadow" just spray the shadow rays to make them soft or give some directional light from top. Easy fix, keep doing
