In a lot of cases like this, when you need interaction, it is best to shoot the footage with a stand in actor, then paint them out and put the render over the top. These setup don't usually use motion capture but do use the stand-in for animation reference.

i understand to interact my creature(an Alien) with my actors i need to do stand in actor, then paint them out and put the render over the top, for animation reference.

BUT lets say i want a creature(an Alien) as a character in my whole movie. i Don't want it to look like a 3D model. i want it to look like a born in earth Alien(REALISTIC). For a example the creature in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial looks very realistic when it stand together other actors or talk, or when move etc.

how did they did that. can someone explain me in detail please.
how the 3d Model(alien) look so realistic)

E.T. was in a time where nearly no CGI was used in Movies. its a puppet! thats why it looks so realistic, because its a real thing that was on set and filmed with the actors

if you want to do a CGI alien, then you need a good detailed 3d model, a good textures/shaders, a good animation, good lighting and good compositing.

its the same as every other CG element: if it should look real it needs alot of work.

rigging you missed rigging, skinning, control setup...which is a lot. for a single film maker you may be better off going the non-cg route. look into prosthetics and monster making. good point. et was a long tome ago but underworld wasn't. look at the behind the scenes for the first underwold movie. most people thought it was cg. CG is not the answer for everything. those werewolves were 100 % reall guys in real suits. there was a bit of digitalartistry that went towards making them more believable in post but doing everything in camera was far more cinvincing and more predictable. lookat the movie you are referencing..."i want an alien that looks real like E.T." then my advice to you is to make one and mimic the look you are impressed wth. cause that wasn't CG.

    cheers
