Job Summary:
The Resource Production Manager is responsible for the management of the correct resourcing, monitoring and forecasting of all projects for our busy VFX studio. The Resource Production Manager will take responsibility for resourcing all projects, liaising directly with our London studio for potential cross over.
The Resource Production Manager will work within our Production team, working directly with our Resource Manager in London, Central Production Manager and reporting to the Head of Production in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
· Weekly department meetings with Heads of Department, Department Managers and Crew Managers reviewing current and future resource needs.
· Ones approval for Show requirements with Head of Production.
· Assigning Show resource / Dept. crewing priorities with Head of Production.
· Management of crew fall-off with Crew Managers/crew reassignment.
· Identifying crew for cross training.
· Recruitment shopping lists ownership.
· Recruitment seniority approval.
· Identify reverse recruitment requirements.
· Work with Production Accountant to produce accurate weekly seating forecast for entire Vancouver facility.
· Managing floor / department seating plans.
· Equipment resource requirements liaising with Technology Production Manager over specific issues.
· Regular calls with London to keep up to date with their requirements and know how we might be able to split crew or transfer crew between studios.
· Work with Production Accountant / Bidding Producer to run new business scenarios and forecasts.
Required Skills:
· Previous experience in a production management role within the VFX industry is preferred
· Has experience working within a management team for talent and resource planning
· Self-directed and motivated
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse internal clients
· Attention to detail
· Strong organizational and time management skills
