Fusion Merge Node Problem

I have keyed out a shot using chroma keyer node in Fusion. After Keying out I have used a Merge node to add a background to the keyed out shot.

Now comes the problem. When I am trying to adjust the FG(Keyed out) on the BG by Scaling the FG, The BG gets clipped out.

I want to have the FG scaled down on top of the BG. I have connected a Transform node with the FG to scale it down. Please help!!!!!

the problem is that after the key the region outside of the image gets black. use a "set canvas color" node after the keyer. leave the "set canvas color" at default settings and it will make the region outside of your image transperent

do I have to use "set canvas color" always with the keyers that I use? If it is so, then will the problems persist with masks too....???

you just need the "set canavas color" after a keyer or when you inverted a mask
