    HI Folks,

I ve a little question about lens distortion and 2Dtracker coming out from the pointTo3d.
OK, Im tracking with the pointTo3d from the overscan plate undistorted. Of course i will need to use the tracker for the original size plate distorted. so everytime i want to use the tracker information for a roto or a patch I need to reformat and undistort the roto as the overscan plate then apply the tracker and then reformat and distort again as the original plate.
    IE:
    ROTO
    Reformat(overscan size)
    Undistort
    2DTracker
    Distort
    Reformat

The problem is Im tracking lots of points and as you guys know the lens distortion operation is quite heavy especially if repeated several times during a script.
Now comes my question: Is there any way/expression to bake the unditortion and distortion thing into a tracker so i dont need to use reformat and distortion node twice for each roto?

    Thanks a lot,

I am do not know the answer to your question, but my advise is - try to optimize your tree in the way that you will use Distort only once for few of your corrections
    maybe:
    mask(red)
    mask(blue)
    mask(green)
    mask(new.channel)
    Distort

Will be nise to see better solution though ...

Yes, it would have probably be better to approach the shot differently and work on the undistorted plate to begin with... but now I'm half way through and It's not worth it to restart the shot...

    Thanks for the reply though...

dont know which math is behind the nuke lens distortion tool, but if you would know which model they use you could calculate the distorted position of the tracker

i did this once for the math that syntheyes uses, but i cant share the code
