    Hi all,

Recently I see in television some commercials where are super clean cars moving.
The strange thing (for me and what i dont' understand) is that the car i smoving to the camera, the background is moving to, but the camera is fixed, the camera don't move.

It's like the car is still and moves just the background but it gives the ide of a moving car to the camera...mumble mubmle...anyone understood what i want to say?

Imagine this kinf of shot http://www.seat.com/com/generator/su...site/main.html

Like the one in the header image.

Imagine that the car is moving, the background is moving but the camera is allways in that pisition. Understand what I mean?

See also attache dimages, that is the wiev we often see in commercials (all se moving but the camera is fixed in that position and don't shake, don't move...)

    How the do that?

    Thanks!

    P.s. See this great commercial

The final rotation around the car? It's 3d?

Hmm...I know some guys who were in the production crew for this commercial and I can tell you that the final rotation around the car is definetly not 3d. It was filmed using a gocart with a mounted camera that was circleing around the car. That is probably how they shot the car from up front and I believe that is how they usually do it (a camera mounted on another car in front of the other)

Can u give me the name of agency who did that spot?

    Thanks for your reply.

Anyway the effect about I asked like first is somethink unreal couse the bg moves slowly but the camera is always there still, no minimal shakes. I think in real word at that velocity the bg have to change more faster...

We're currently working on several Chevy commercials for the new Impala. Lots of the shots that have the car full frame with the camera going around it are not computer generated. The camera is on a track that dollies around the car. With certain colors of cars, the car will reflect the camera crew! Most of the time, the crew stands a good deal away, the camera guy puts a black hood over himself, so it's just a nondiscript hump moving across the reflection, or, lo, we fix it in comp and paint out crew reflections.

For shots of cars out in the wild (on city streets, on the highway), a camera car will usually follow close behind or in front. For more elaborate work (camera follows car around a turn while it's locked to the bumper), I can only imagine that they would hook a camera up to the bumper and spin the car, OR shoot the car on green or in a studio and do the effect in post.

I saw a shot like this on the BMW Short film series, The Hire. From the making of the shot on DVD, I believe they used a rig which was attached to the car's bumper, like Aruna said. In post, They magically removed the rig from the moving BG! It looked neat!! Wonder how they were able to pull such a clean plate.

what if you just make camera rig that can go around the whole car?`And then clean things up in post. What if you just mount steadycam to the pick-up and drive and shot around moving car? and again stabilize everything in post. OR shoot with steadycam by walking around moving car.and speed things up in post...or mount camera into RC helicopter and...there are many ways. Some are more cost effective than others
