  1. #1 eyeon Announce Fusion 5.1
    PRESS RELEASE
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON – June 28, 2006 – eyeon Software gear up for the fall trade show season with the pre-announcement of their Siggraph 2006 release of Fusion 5.1.

eyeon will soon unveil Fusion version 5.1, introducing well over 25 new technologies to their industry-leading compositing application. eyeon spent over two years redeveloping the core architecture of Fusion 5. The 5.1 release will add a host of new features and functionality to this highly-adaptable visual effects system.

“When we set out to make an upgrade for our clients, we always want to give them something that will make them sit back and say, ‘Wow’. We want to treat Fusion artists and let them have all the tools they need to get the job done right. With the release of 5.1, we believe that we have enabled them to accomplish this task. We want the community to know that we stand behind our product, that we’re not going anywhere and that we’ll tirelessly support the artists that use our products.”

    Senior Product Manager, Isaac Guenard

Let's not start an OFX rumor. I'd hate to think of the developers spending their time on that. I'd rather see more features like 3D tracking (although I'm excited to hear about the recent PF track integration).
I'll be psyched to check out the Eyeon booth at Siggraph this year. I'm assuming all will be revealed then.

I like Isaac's quote. Sounds like a nice dig on the recent Apple developments.
