VFX Challenge Series 3 Q&A Thread

Just curious to know if an audio track/sound effects is required/mandatory, and if not, will HAVING an audio track effect a competitors score?

I was not planning on including one as I don't do audio work.
However if it is going to effect the score, then I will be glad to include one.

The trick is going to be making sounds/score from scratch, as downloading prexisting libraries of sound effects/scores would be against the rules then correct?
.....unless they are free of course, but then you get what you pay for regarding audio.

Clarification regarding sound effects/scores would be awesome

Also, I agree with Sorins' post above about less destruction and more construction for the next challenge

We're not sound designers. While it is nice to have sound, it's not required, and you won't get counted against if you have or don't have any.

Although I heard if you play anything by Hanson as your soundtrack you get brownie points with Aruna. I also heard Cindy Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" will do the trick as well.

I think it might have something to do with manipulating some footage to make it look like something else was happening than in the original shot. But I'm just guessing.

hey just wanted to give everyone that we have closed out our sponsors for the series 4 challenge and will be getting ready to launch it at the end of the month
