    Hi everyone!

I was just wondering what version of linux is necesary (or recommended) to be able to run Shake 4 on a pc computer? Are all versions of linux free? Where can i find it? Is it complicated to install in order to have both win xp and linux?

I know its a lot of questions... but maybe you can help me out.

    Alex.

by the way... what is the difference between shake 4 and shake 4.1?

Shake 4.1 was the Universal Binary release to support the new Intel Macs. It also features a lot of bug fixes (recomended!).
I've tried Shake under Fedora Core 4 and it worked really nice, stable and fast. You can download it for free at http://fedora.redhat.com/
Just search the net for install instructions and support. Cheers!

Thanks david so basically what you are saying is that shake 4.1 runs on both mac and linux but that it is better because of the bug fixes? as for fedora core 4 the link takes me to the fedora cora 5, im guessing its the new version, you think it will still run shake just like fedora core 4 did? i really need to be sure fo this before i install.

    thanks again!

I was going to download fedora core 5 today but then i realized there are several version and i am unsure which one is right for me.

Here is the link to the download options: http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/

Will someone please check it out and if they are sure please let me know which one is right for me... It will be installled on an HP pc laptop with windows xp already installed. (so basically i need it for a dual boot setup).

Help on this issue would be very much appreciate it! Thanks all!
