    Hey Toufik,

This thread was started in October 2006, I'm sorry to say that Rainmaker became CIS London and closed last month. Maybe a mod can lock/delete this thread?

Rainmaker UK/CIS London closed down last September, and a few of us (Paddy and I, along with a few others) started up a new place not long after... That new place is Stranger.

I know 100% that you are on my email list, just making a new showreel before I send out some mails again. I think I had you guys down as XSI users (well, that's the list I've been compiling)?

Quite strange timing really (bare with me).
Recently moved into London but had been back home (Guildford) a few times, and was just going through some old mags, and I found an old 3d World Mag...one of the parts in that was some talk about Rainmaker...So I was wondering what happened as their site is just in Canada now, appreciate being filled in on that

Rainmaker has been through a few changes in the past few years...

Rainmaker was initially a purely Vancouver-based company.
Some years back (2005, 2006?), they set up a London office initially to work on The Da Vinci Code. They then continued to work on various other projects.
In January 2007, Rainmaker bought Mainframe, who had previously focused on doing animation.
In January 2008, Deluxe bough Rainmaker VFX, Labs, and Post, and changed the name to CIS (Vancouver/London). Rainmaker was left with purely the animation division.
In September 2008, CIS announced that they were closing down the London office.

At Rainmaker UK/CIS London, we were a mixture of Maya and Houdini.
