http://throb.net/nuke_demo/ link is not active anymore. Very interested in learning to use Nuke, anyone know how to go about attaining a demo version?

    Cheers,

2006 NUKE NEWS! -See Nuke at NAB - booth SL1513, pod U
    Try this and ask them.
Or the easier method: go to www.d2software.com and leave them a message. Likely, you will get a link for a demodownload.

Well, these videos are made with a very old nukeversion (it's 4.1.. now running 4.5, heading for 4.6 this year.). But the operators are still there
For those that doesnt know nuke at all, give it a try (aren;t these some inhouse-trainingsvideos of D2?). Whatever, tighten your seatbelts and check back often to d2software.com because they are offering a demoversion to download beginning from 31th of august (referring to the pressrelease).

As additional resources there are also a few downloads (tcl tools and gizmos), tutorials and another forum at FxShare (formerly Highend2D):

What about Mr. Rueter web? When it'll be online? And what about throb.net? Why can't I see some other shot breakdowns than Mezzo? I really miss throb's articles about linear workflow-the one that enlight me about every dark image I render w/ mental ray.. thx anyway throb!

haha, Mr Rueter needs to learn how to make a proper homepage first :-D.
In the meantime I'm just using the nuke section of www.fxshare.com

I am currently a Shake compositor looking to expand his knowledge of comping as a whole. I am currently undergoing a computer reformat and once that is done I am going to install Nuke.

My question is; Does Nuke ship with Tutorials or are the ones online, the Gnomon DVD's, and Nuke forums my only options. All of these resources are excellent ones, but I seem to have an unending appetite to learn as much as I can.

    Thanks.

You can find the tutorial media along with the eval request here http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/promo/nuke.html the tutorials are fairly nice and can help you ground yourself with the basics of Nuke.
