    Hi,
thought i would have a crack at it...

    UPDATE 21/3...
um... very slow progress, heres a quick scene before he gets into Paradise...
sumthing seems wrong though zooming in through the clouds....any thoughts
maybe its the speed and timings...???
    got alot to go.

    cheers

this has a little story line to go with it,
boy walks outside sees something in the sky and jumps up and flies into the air to follow it.
(ufo at the moment, will change to sumthing more interesting soon).
Ends up in the clouds (cloud footage) and there is paradise......
(not 2 sure wat though) maybe the Golden Arches McDonalds.

but in the end cuts back to boy asleep in bed i flying motion...

    heres a quick PreVis....(yes, 2 actors r used)

but i really want 2 have everything pretty quickly at start then slow right down for the cloud footage to really take all of PARADISE in.

Personally I think the camera moves could be smoother, and somehow the actor looks kind of washed out around the edges...

I'd put the updates in every new post instead of updating the first. It's a bit annoying having to scroll back and forth. Apart from that a nice start. I agree that the moves could either be much smoother or even more quick. This is a bit of both and doesn't feel like a real choice.

well, i thought I would never get my act together to actually complete sumthing for a change, so im sorta happy

I now regret not working on it bit by bit and updating my WIP to get more of others knowledgeable opinions and helpful crits.
    but aye, I've now learned.

Ive learnt that its really hard to keep things all organized including render files/comp scripts/different scenes etc.
Not only that but dealing with the whole Interlaced pipeline and re interlacing....really had me confused for a while. But I wouldn't of actually learnt it without this project, so sumthing good has come out of it for sure.

Just a few things I would of liked to fixed up...
    - the Grain, (re-shoot with better camera ), actually use tracking markers, shadows, lighting, bad glow around hand flying, supposed to be fast wind trails....

    thanks for looking

    heres my final submission...

Shonofear- I couldn't agree with you more about learning so much in this one excercise. Also learning how to not bite off more than you can chew which some of the submissions give are really great example of this. Keeping it to a place where you can focus on that last 10% of finishing, making it look right.

yep, i think i choked on it too...
ok, so I realise I was completely way out of my league.
Next time I'm gonna stick to the proper challenge outline and not go wandering off...

anyhow, i can say that Ive seen enough of my clip 4 eva.

    Ive re-submitted my ver02 video.

Also if you just wanna download a smaller version here it is...

    cheers
